Essex RTSM

Hello and Welcome to Essex RTS. On all of these pages, you will find a vast amount of information for all the airports within the Essex RTS. As well as the biggest airports - Stansted and Luton - Essex also includes Cambridge, Southend & Norwich. These are all fantastic airports to control at and offer any controller an enjoyable experience. On joining Essex as an enthusiastic observer you will need to take a written exam and an oral exam to become an aerodrome controller. All the questions to these exams are all in the information given on these Essex pages. The only way you will pass these exams is if you thoroughly read all the information given, and ask lots of questions! Note that the questions are only aimed at Stansted and Luton. If you wish you can branch out and request some sessions on Cambridge, Southend & Norwich at any time. As always our mentors will help you on your way!

As well as the major airports in Essex there are smaller airfields such as Duxford, North Weald etc... these are not regularly opened but they are there so if properly trained you may control them to provide an AFIS service.
